Digital imprinting
Digital imprinting revolutionizes traditional imprints. The use of this kind of technology is a very big step forward in dentistry. While it is true that it does not yet know everything that a traditional imprinting technique knows, it can be used in situations where the traditional imprinting technique would not perform so well.
One of the advantages of digital imprinting is that a digitized copy of the teeth appears immediately in the dental lab, so that technicians can start work sooner. It is important to point out that in this case we do not talk about data loss when casting the plaster sample and shrinking the imprint material.
The dentition can be evaluated from all sides; errors that are not discovered until later in the case of traditional imprinting are immediately discovered. No nausea occurs during imprinting, as no imprint spoons or imprints enter the oral cavity. When possible, we prefer digital imprinting.
Digital tooth color determination
To make an aesthetic crown, filling or shell, it is important to accurately determine the color of the tooth. The apparent colour of the tooth can be influenced by the experience of the doctor, eye fatigue, and the surrounding colours.
Since the doctor has to objectively determine the color of the tooth, our digital color-determining tool also helps. While it is true that we cannot rely entirely on the results shown by the technology, we also take them into account in order to determine the exact colour.
Making digital X-rays
In order for the attending physician to provide an accurate diagnosis and a correct treatment plan, it is important to have all the necessary information. In order for this to be feasible, it is necessary to have a panoramic X-ray or a three-dimensional computed tomography image.
Without these pictures, you can only see the surface of the tooth, and in many cases even the tooth with a decay can not be seen in time. For this reason, we start the consultation by taking a full-jaw panoramic shot.
This allows the doctor and the patient to discuss together what treatment will be needed. We have digital X-ray devices and this prevents the patient from receiving too much radiation, it is easier to send the X-ray image anywhere on the request of the patient, and we also pollute the environment less than during the preparation of conventional X-ray images.
